Judicial nominee: Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to advance the nomination of Emil Bove III to a lifetime post as a federal appeals court judge after Democrats on the panel stormed out. They protested because the chairman, Senator Charles E. Grassley, called the roll before all Democrats had a chance to speak. An even more intense battle is expected on the Senate floor over Mr. Bove, a Justice Department enforcer who oversaw dozens of firings. Read more ›
